R2026.2

The current release builds on the R2026.1 foundation and strengthens the complete shopfloor adaptation workflow.

The focus is on safer program adaptation, clearer separation between geometric transformation and teach-oriented point updates, better visibility of program changes, improved NC editing productivity, clearer 3D review, stronger UI/UX, performance, stability, and security improvements.

This release also introduces an important foundation for future FANUC Robotics workflows.

New in this release

Two dedicated workflows for point modification

Shopfloor Assistant now provides two separate workflows for updating selected points: Pivot Teach and Axis Teach.

  • Pivot Teach is used for pivot-based geometric transformation of selected points.
  • Axis Teach is used for teach-oriented point correction by calculating and writing back the resulting axis values.

This separation makes the workflow intent clearer and helps users choose the correct editing method more easily.

Axis Teach improvements

The Axis Teach workflow improves teach-oriented local position corrections directly in the 3D environment where supported.

It helps users adjust selected toolpath positions in a controlled way and immediately understand the effect of the modification in the 3D Viewer.

This reduces the need for manual coordinate or axis-value editing in supported correction scenarios.

Pivot Teach workflow

The Pivot Teach workflow provides a guided way to apply local geometric corrections around a defined reference point.

It supports situations where a production deviation affects a local toolpath area and the user needs to adapt the program in a structured and repeatable way.

This helps adapt multiple related positions more consistently and reduces trial-and-error correction.

Insert Command in the editor

The Insert Command function allows users to add new program lines directly from the NC Editor.

The function is available from the plus icon on the left side of a selected line and can be used when a single line is selected. New commands are inserted after the selected line.

Supported command types include:

  • Empty Line
  • Comment
  • Motion
  • Event
  • Custom

For Motion commands, the values are initialized based on the first previous motion point found above the selected line. Users can adjust values individually, copy values from another motion line, clear attributes, and preview supported motion changes in the 3D Viewer before insertion.

This improves program editing flexibility and reduces the need for manual line editing.

Preview Differences

The Preview Differences function allows users to compare the original program with the current modified program before saving or continuing.

The comparison is available directly in the NC Editor and shows the original and current program side by side, similar to a difference review workflow.

The 3D Viewer can also display a visual comparison between the original and modified toolpath. When hovering supported lines in the current program, the related motion or toolpath element can be highlighted in the 3D Viewer.

This helps users better understand what changed, where the change is located, and whether the modified program state matches the intended result.

Comment / Uncomment in the editor

The Comment / Uncomment function allows users to temporarily disable or reactivate selected program lines without deleting the original content.

Key benefits include:

  • a non-destructive alternative to deletion
  • support for single-line and multi-line selection
  • a 3D view that stays aligned with the active executable program content

When motion lines are commented, the corresponding points or segments are removed from the 3D Viewer. Uncomment restores them.

Initial FANUC Robotics workflow foundation

R2026.2 introduces an initial foundation for FANUC Robotics workflows in supported configurations.

This includes progress toward working with FANUC program structures, robot positioning workflows, joint motion handling, and controlled adaptation concepts for robotic applications.

Note: FANUC Robotics support should be used only in supported and configured scenarios. It does not represent unrestricted robot program editing for all robot applications.

UI/UX improvements

The user interface has been refined to improve readability, navigation, workflow clarity, and day-to-day usability.

These improvements help users better understand available actions and follow editing workflows more consistently.

Visibility control for 3D scene elements

A new Model Tree View allows users to control the visibility of geometries in the 3D Viewer. The tree reflects the resource structure of the scene and supports visibility control at different levels, including:

  • complete resources
  • base geometries
  • individual joints / axes

Users can expand or collapse the tree structure, use Expand All / Collapse All, and toggle visibility using an eye icon on each node. Changing visibility updates the 3D Viewer instantly and helps reduce visual clutter in complex scenes.

Improved validation availability

The Validate Program function is now available only when the loaded program type supports validation.

This improves clarity by:

  • preventing unsupported validation attempts
  • reducing confusion in the user interface
  • making it more obvious when validation can be used

For supported programs, the existing validation behavior remains unchanged.

Improved NC Editor and 3D synchronization

The synchronization between the NC Editor and the 3D Viewer has been improved.

Selections, highlights, and program-line interactions help users better identify the relationship between program content and the corresponding 3D toolpath elements.

This is useful when reviewing selected lines, modified areas, or program differences.

Performance improvements

The current release also includes performance improvements in key daily workflows.

Users benefit from:

  • faster project loading
  • improved responsiveness during selection
  • smoother interaction when working with larger or more complex scenes

Stability and quality improvements

R2026.2 includes stability and quality improvements across typical program editing and visualization workflows.

These improvements support more reliable behavior during daily use.

Security updates

Security-related updates have been included to strengthen the overall product foundation for customer environments and secure deployments.
