FASTCUBE Fixture Builder
FASTCUBE Fixture Builder is a cloud-based application for designing plate-based fixtures that can be manufactured directly on a laser cutting machine. The generated fixtures are used to securely support workpieces for laser cutting and arc welding applications.
The application is entirely cloud-based and accessible through a web browser. It provides an interactive 3D viewer for fixture designs, a parametric editor for fixtures and support plates, and export capabilities for generating manufacturing-ready files.
With its intuitive drag-and-drop interface, users can quickly create, modify, and validate fixture designs without requiring advanced CAD expertise.
By combining design, visualization, and validation in a single environment, FASTCUBE Fixture Builder simplifies fixture creation, reduces preparation time, and helps ensure that fixtures are ready for manufacturing.
Key capabilities
| Capability | Description |
|---|---|
| 3D visualization | Real-time display of toolpaths, workpiece geometry, and machine joints |
| Load workpieces | Use .step CAD models of the workpieces to generate fixture shapes, and place the workpiece in the desired orientation and height |
| Project management | Manage and access all the fixtures created |
| Auto save | Save automatically all progress made on the fixture after every update |
| Template based fixture | Use a default template to create a startup fixture with 2x2 plates and a base plate that can serve as base for the fixture design |
| Add extra support plates | Create extra plates to support the workpiece on all necessary places |
| Move support plates | Move the support plates to restrict and support the part |
| Export fixture | Use the result to create a real fixture by exporting the plates nesting as a .dxk or .step file to be used on a laser cutting machine |
